It all started while I was pregnant with my oldest child. I was working as a Graphic Designer in a retail setting and I loved creating designs as unique as each customer I helped. They would then display the designs in their home, or give them as gifts to their family and friends.

When I became pregnant I knew that I wanted to be able to stay home and raise my family, but I didn’t want to be just a stay-at-home mom. I wanted to continue to create and share beautiful and unique designs. So at 5 months pregnant, I started my own business from my home office, which was also my dining room.

I wanted my business name to mean something to me and be a part of who I am. So I chose the childhood nickname that my dad gave me, Chickaboo. So when I see my business name I see Myself. Me. My Designs. Little pieces of me that I can share with my clients.

Because Chickaboo Designs is just one person.

Hello, I’m Caitlin.

I’ve been working with Graphic Design for over 11 years and solely with my own business as my own boss for 7 years now.

I have two beautiful children, a wonderful partner who has been by my side for 18 years now and our loyal, lovable dog.

I love to paint and draw, and I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of British Columbia-Okanagan.

I also love coffee, whiskey, nature and books and these are some of the elements that I work into my designs.

All the designs that I create are intended to bring happiness, inspiration, and most definitely laughter to your life.

Life is too short to be serious all the time!
